who's the most overrated player currently?
i would have to say Jeff Franceour, especially here in GA; people act like he's the greatest player of all-time here and he's only hitting .268 , i think the only special quality Jeff francouer has is that he NEVER walks and swings at pretty much everything.
so, in your opinion who is the most overatted player, and why???

Jose Reyes. He tanked down the stretch last year and is hitting .276 this year. Not horrible, but nothing special.

Derek Jeter, there's no doubt he's a great player, but if he spent his career in another uniform, he'd been merely mortal.

Jeff's a (very) free swinger and it is annoying at times but he's not even our third or fourth best player. I don't think he's overated at all, he just needs to be patient.

Jose has been killing this team with the errors and poor baserunning the last couple of games, in my opinion he's (currently) the most overrated player.

Abreu is getting to be washed up. Used to be a dependable .300-25-100-20sb guy in Philly...even if he wasn't the most ambitious fielder in the world.

The Indians Travis Hafner has been doing poorly for some time now, and signed to a big long term contract (08:$8.05M, 09:$11.5M, 10:$11.5M, 11:$13M, 12:$13M). He has very little in terms of defensive skills, even at 1st base.
His OPS in recent seasons:
2004 - .993
2005 - 1.003
2006 - 1.098
2007 - .836
2008 - .676
