Just call me an old-fashioned girl, but I prefer that traditional logos in general, and specifically the Olde English big "D" of the Detroit Tigers. BTW, the new Stanly Cup champion Detroit Red Wings are also using their original logo. You just can't beat the classics.

The OP said MLB clubs only.
My top 5 (in no particular order):
1. Yankees
2. 80s Expos
3. 80s Brewers
4. A's
5. Orioles

Yes, I saw that; that was why I made the remark as an aside. Was using it to make a point about the classics, and that everything doesn't have to be new-fangled in order to have marketing value and appeal to the fans.

But you didn't say that, and since your post immediately followed mine, it was the logical assumption

These two, although I like the older Chief Wahoo with the bat over the shoulder and the leg kick.

I agree with this 100%
Personally, I think it's liking seeing a swastiki but there is no denying it is the most recognizable and there is a certain epicness of it. the Yankees symbol represents something HUGE and you can sense it when you see it. It gives me goosebumps
