I have to admit as a yankee fan,Keith Hernandez is the mets version of Don Mattingly and should be honored the same.I never met him but I did Gary Carter,who was friends with my neighbor and he was ultra-nice.

That is correct, especially in his MVP year in 1979. Though, no one can no doubt the tremendous impact this guy had on the Mets in the mid 80s.
