well, I can add that I always admired Dave Dravecky for what he went through with the shoulder cancer, failed comebacks and finally arm amputation. I got the chance to meet him at an autograph signing several years ago. he was one of the most polite, genuine guys out there.

and my ex-bf was a big fan of Mike Sweeney.

I agree with this. that does get a little bit irritating, yet again 75% of all other MLB players probably do the same thing, but don't get media coverage

Honestly, who cares? So what if he has ridiculous hair and has a baggy uniform? So Jered Weaver has girl-like hair, Royce Clayton has his hair the same exact way, I don't get your argument.

So? don't most other sluggers do the same exact thing? Pujols does it, so does Victor Martinez, so does Ryan Howard, most sluggers do this.


He routinely decides to run out of the basepath and not slide when the situation calls for it.

I've seen him slide headfirst at 2nd before, and he does run hard most of the time

He shoved a team represenative to the ground the other day because the poor guy couldn't acquire the ridiculous number of tickets he was demanding.

well, keep in mind that I'm a kid too.....I'm 15. I don't exactly "look up" to Manny, but he is my favorite player. And I play baseball and I don't do the same stuff as Manny.

You're wrong about Pujols. In fact, just last week, he hit a high pop up in very shallow centerfield. It was at Wrigley Field, sunny and windy. The outfielder dropped the ball and Albert, hustling all the way, got thrown out at second trying to strectch nothing into something.
