Yes, I jinxed them!! I shouldn't post after several adult beverage!!

The Rays look very good. They pitch well and are getting clutch hits - the exact opposite of the Red Sox.

I hope the wind is blowing just right and the knuckleball is moving tonight!

You better believe FOX is pooping their pants over a potential Tampa/Philly World Series, which would be a ratings catastrophe.

Fine with me, though......may the best team win........and I hate FOX anyway. I long for the NBC days with Vin Scully and Joe Garagiola announcing.

Screw ESPN and Fox's whining about ratings...a Phils-Rays series is great for baseball. And I'm not so sure it would be a ratings disaster....Philly is the 4th largest market in the country and is STARVED for a title. And the Rays are a great underdog story, possibly going to a series after years of being a doormat in a tough division with the Yankees and Red Sox.

I cannot stand listening to Tim McCarver. He's like listening to nails on a chalkboard to me....he's so anti-Philly its disgusting (I guess that comes from his days as a Mets announcer). For game 5, I think I'm going to mute the TV and turn on the Phillies radio broadcast...hopefully the timing is not way off.

The Phillies would draw a good market share but not the Rays, especially in comparison to the Red Sox.

If the Rays beat the Sox, I will watch the WS and root for the Rays because of the story. Although, if I have something better to do it won't keep me glued to the TV like if the Red Sox or the Yankees were in the game. But that's just me.

I'm fine with a Rays against Phillies WS, but agree that Red Sox vs Phillies (the Colonial Series) would draw more TV audience numbers.

If the Rays make it to the WS, think they will sell out the dome?

Red Sox-Rays would be a colonial Series of sorts. Didn't Northeasterners colonize Florida?

Should call them the Tampa Bay Snowbirds.

Just thought of something though, the Phillies spring training site is in Clearwater, about 15 miles up the road from the Rays stadium. They have a nice facility there, perhaps they can convince enough snowbird Phillies fans to come to the game, and have home field advantage the entire series.

Now, watch the Red Sox and/or Dodgers upend them, and this post will look silly...
