Any American League Central fans out there?? We had one earlier, but are there more out there??? White Sox fans, Twins fans, and others. Come on over. Let's shoot the breeze.
And all I can say is... Go Rays Go! How exciting to be included in this conversation! We can win the division and head into the post-season with confidence. Who knew? Joe, I'd imagine.
It ought to be exciting for you this year. It's a refreshing change of pace. Joe Maddon has done a remarkable job, and they've got remarkable players. The nucleus has come together pretty good. And a new ballpark should be coming in 2012. The Rays' future is bright.
And their September should be looking bright, too. I'll be watching.

Getting rid of Julio Lugo was the final step in making this team what it is today. ^
The batting lineup is certainly better there. But it's the collection of starting pitchers that's got the Rays going. And here's the strange part: lefty Scott Kazmir hasn't even been at his best this year. Imagine if he had been pitching like he had in years past.......
Ok, I know it's a bit off topic ^ but I was at the press conference today where Ripken Baseball announced their partnership with the Rays in moving the Vero Beach Class A team to Port Charlotte (FL) in conjunction with the Rays Spring Training... the energy/synergy was amazing. You could really taste the sincerity of Cal & his team in working with the Rays. It was fantasitc! Go Rays!
