As far as just fan following, maybe Boston or St. Louis,
however, using all measures to say best baseball town and you count in number of major leaguers from the town, I would say the best baseball town is LA.

I'm pretty sure the Brew Keg seats more than Fenway. I know that the average sold % is far fewer.

Still getting over years of bad ownership.

I don't think so, I believe it just isn't a great baseball town. The Eagles and Flyers get more to the heart of Philly, while the Phillies and Sixers seem to struggle a bit.

I disagree....the Flyers aren't even close to the Phils in popularity...At this point, I'd say Philly teams in order of popularity are:
1. Eagles
2. Phillies
3. Flyers
4. Sixers

But I think the Phils aren't that far behind the Eagles, and a few years of Eagles futility, combined with more success from the Phillies, may bump the Phils up ahead of the Birds. Did you not see how many people showed up for the Phils' parade? I don't think that many would show up for a Flyers Stanley Cup parade. People were definitely overall more pumped up for this Phils world series than they were for the last time the Flyers were in the finals.

Yeah, the Phillies are much more popular than the Flyers. I love them both, but hockey is appreciated by more blue collar people. It's funny, because hockey is a pretty white collar sport, but it seems like unless you/your kids play/played, white collar people don't care for it. Baseball isn't like that here.

LA, NY, CHI, and bay area are supporting two teams. I think that should be taken into consideration. LA for instance Dodgers and Angels draw roughly 3.5 million each. I would put Baltimore in that category but I think their Identity is very seperate from DC.
