The two teams I want to see make the playoffs the most are both underdogs: the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Tampa Bay Rays. Judging by their play especially in the last two weeks, I'd say the Diamondbacks have already collapsed.

Don't you have to be UP real big to collapse...can Mets go back to back. That's where my money is.

Of course it's possible that none of them will collapse. For those teams that don't make it in, being beaten out at the end by better teams is not the same thing as collapsing.

I'm seriously hoping it's the Cubs (Flubs?) just to tell their fans "I told you so" (they lost tonight - woo-hoo!), but it's looking more and more like the Brewers if they can't take advantage when they have a chance. I can't see any potential chokers in any of the other divisions, and I'm not about to say the Mets even after last year's episode. I can see Rays and Red Sox as one and two in the AL East.

In any given year, that's always a possibility. And collapsing is simply the act of not getting the job done.

Judging by the last few days, it looks like the Rays are heading in that direction.
