....are doing a great 2007 NY Mets impression. Amazing how they're melting down. I would have been thrilled with the Phils taking 3 of 4...but a SWEEP? Wow.

Meanwhile, the Astros are catching up to the Brewers.

Don't take that comment personally. "Go Phillies," indeed! The recognized masters at NOT winning the division. Their fans (who, by the way, get outnumbered in their own home stadium whenever the Mets are in town) ought not be putting other teams down. This New Yorker would like to see the Brewers turn around and win the Central.

lol ^^^ Philly Fan need to realize that the Mets LOST the division the Phillies didn't WIN it. Philly Fan need to realize that the Mets could still very well win the division AND the Brewers could still win the WC, leaving Philly Fan hoping and praying McNabb won't get sacked 5 times again by the Giants. There is still a lot of baseball to be played. As we Mets fan say: You Gotta Believe!

Agreed. The Mets gave it away. Even if the Phils make it to the playoffs, they have zero chance of advancing. The Mets at least do have somewhat of a chance to advance. The lack of a decent bullpen is kicking our butts though.

Get outnumbered by Mets fans at home? Not quite...although quite a few Mets fans show up, but remember that NY and Philly are only 90 miles apart, with a lot of NY fans in between the two cities in NJ only 40-50 miles away. Plus, even Mets fans will agree that CBP is a much nicer place to watch a game than Shea. I was at a Phils-Mets game in NY this season, and there were quite a few Phils fans there too.

The same can be said for the Brewers playing the Cubs in Milwaukee.....tons of Cubs fans show up since Chicago and Milwaukee are not that far apart.

How do you think that the Mets have a better chance of advancing in the playoffs? The Phils have a much better team on the field, and our bullpen is among the best in baseball, while the Mets have probably the worst bullpen. The Phils lousy bullpen last year is what blew it for them in the playoffs, but that's not a concern this year. If the Mets get into the playoffs, they will see a first-round exit.
