I guess I'll be the lone voice to come to A-Rod's defense.

When he was taking this crap, it's what you had to do to even the field against your competitors because, let's face it, he was far from the only person doing it. Yeah, I know, "just because everyone's doing it doesn't mean it's right." But asking an athlete to unilaterally disarm is like asking him to give up his career. That said, I'd like to see baseball played without juice, and hopefully mandatory testing will level the playing field to a juiceless standard.

As for whether or not the "juice era" records should stand, I say let 'em, because those batters were facing juiced pitchers.

Well then if that's the case, then shouldn't you take things to the obvious conclusion, and declare that every athlete is now obligated to take steroids? Otherwise, some of them are going to have an unfair advantage.

Uh, you must have missed the part of my post where I said, "I'd like to see baseball played without juice, and hopefully mandatory testing will level the playing field to a juiceless standard."

Your idea of a "logical" conclusion is substantially different from mine.

Let it be noted Bud Selig is from Milwaukee and was a big Milwaukee Braves fan in his youth, in addition to owning the Milwaukee Brewers. Hank Aaron played the majority of his career with the Milwaukee Braves (before they moved to Atlanta) and also played at the end of his career with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Already knew this and I couldn't blame him for the thought of it reverting back to Aaron but the fact that nothing was used years ago that might have had the same effect(as a steroid) has never really been brought up and there was always the possibility even if much lesser.

A rugby player in the UK has recently been banned from playing for five years for taking steroids.
Rodriguez not only took steroids, but lied under oath when questioned about it. My question is, why in gods name is this man still playing? he cheated his club. his teammates, and the teams he competed against, look what happened to Marion Jones when she was caught.
Rodriguez is a cheat pure & simple, & a disgrace to the game.
