Point: It's not hard to win 26 championships when you buy them every 5 years.

I'm not crying about but if I was a Yankee fan it wouldn't be the same as if the Royals won 26 championships then I would think they truly are the best team ever in baseball.

As far as i'm concerned St.Louis is the best team ever in baseball as much as I hate the cards.

"Buying" a world series is an extremely difficult task... the game still needs to be played on the field. The advantage the Yankees have is that they can make a mistake when signing a player whereas other teams cannot. The Yankees are able to replace underperforming stars. That also means the Yankees will almost always have a deficit in their minor league system (giving away all of the draft picks), thus opportunity is wide for those teams who can draft and scout well - just look at Tampa Bay and the Texas Rangers.

Hey, Milwaukee City, don't worry about it! They're not the reigning champs. Good golly Miss Molly...they didn't even make it to the playoffs last year.

If you had the mind of a champion you'd be a Yankee fan and Jewish like me.

Sorry dude but comparing Tampa and Texas is like apples and oranges. Texas has sunk money into the team and it has never worked. Now they are doing okay but Tampa SCOUTS!

I'm not disagreeing with that. But keep in mind that I only meet one of your criteria. Yeah, I'm Jewish. But I'm a Mets fan. (I grew up in a household that was loyal to the Brooklyn Dodgers, you see).

SOX host the Spanls tonight for the 1st of a 3 game set. Lets go SOX..... A sweep would have the spanks as 0-8 vs the SOX this year. That would suck.
