Great NLDS Game 4 between the Phillies and Rockies. Colorado scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to take a 4-2 lead, but Philadelphia came back to score 3 runs of their own in the top of the 9th to reclaim the lead at 5-4. The Rockies had runners at 1st and 2nd with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, but Brad Lidge, who had just entered the game, strikes out Troy Tulowitzki on a slider low and away to end the game.

The last 2 games of this series were just really good baseball games. Hopefully the MLB playoffs can have some more of those this year.

Where's Albert Pujols when you need him?

That was about as exciting an ending as I've seen in some time. What a back and forth at the end. I think Rollins might be praying today, after that fielding flub in the bottom of the 8th nearly cost them the game.

It is also why I feel every baseball playoff series should be best of seven. That would be far more fair.

If the Yankees and Dodgers pitch the way they pitched in the first series, the Phillies and Angels are in trouble. But if the Yankees and Dodgers pitch like the Red Sox and Rockies pitched in the first series, the Yankees and Dodgers are in trouble.

I feel very confident that whichever AL team comes out the ALCS will smack around whichever NL teams comes out of the NLCS. I say that just about every year with the exception of last. I did not have a lot of confidence in the Rays, even as impressive as they were.

Don't be too sure of that. The Phillies are proving they were no fluke. And the Phils play more like an AL team with their powerful offense, not to mention a staff with the defending AL Cy Young winner.

Yeah, I could be wrong, anything can happen of course, it would seem that either the Angels or Yankees would be a more powerful opponent than last years Rays. imo...To your point, the Phils could also be better than last year. We shall see.
