Well, turns out the Angels gave the Yankees "fits" alright, fits of laughter that is.
I've a pal who is a long-standing (and long-suffering) fan of the Angels and he has told me repeatedly how the Angels will always choke when the chips are down, and sure enough, game 2 of the ALCS proved it; all that Fuentes had to do was get A-Rod out, instead, he gave A-Rod a 4-bagger, then in the 13th, the Angels second baseman threw the ball away and with it the game. IIRC, no team has ever come back to win a playoff series after starting out 0-2 as the Angels are now.
As we Orioles fans say every May .... wait 'til next year.....

How soon people forget the Yankees' choke job in 2004.
There have a number of teams that have come back from 0-2 deficit in a best of 7 series (and a few that have done so in a best of 5 series too).

If the Phillies and Yankees win today, I think we'll be able to bank on a Phils-Yanks series. I guess it can be called the "Jersey Turnpike Series."
This will be the best series ever, since my area is mostly Phillies and Yankees fans.

Phillies looking really good, Cliff Lee was a great acquisition. The best thing about getting Lee is that the Phillies were able to do it while trading off secondary prospects, still holding on to their top minor league players.

The Phillies show their muster again, posting another comeback win in the playoffs.
Game 4 of the NLCS was a great win if you are a Phillies fan and a brutal loss if you are a Dodgers fan.

With the rough year Rollins had, it was good to see him get the game winning hit in the bottom of the 9th, with 2 outs.

Teams don't always choke when they lose. Sometimes they're simply overmatched.

Okay I have been away for a while but here are just a few observations when it comes to this year's playoffs.
1. Where were the angels hitters? my gosh!!!!
2. Did anyone see the yankees fans? ha all wearing suits or designer garb! you rarely see any yankees hats or tshirts or jersey's like you would see in STL. Looks like they all jumped on the bandwagon! I'm sure there are true yankees fan but from the sight of it, none of them actually showed up.
3. Nice to see the NY mafia buying the umps this year, I see things are getting back to normal.
4. Can we get some good color guys? Joe Buck is no good and either is anyone else they put with him.
Overall I love the baseball playoffs and I am really gonna be sad when there is no more baseball. So let's go Phils beat those checkbooks!!!!
