Too bad as that guy was gonna then hire you from some of that salary unless you cost too much $$ - lol!
We'll see what the Mets do if anything this month.
Hey i'll take what they're paying you! I think they will get a lower end free agent pitcher and eventually sign Benji Molina.I'm happy for Fred-and the rest of the Mets fans.
Vlad and Sheets are still out there, any ideas? If I were GM of Da Brewers I would trade Corey Hart for a bucket of balls and go out and take a risk on Sheets and Vlad. Two injury prone guys, but if it pays off just think of what would happen.

Vlad might be going to Texas.Sheets' agent have him WAY OVERPRICED! They are looking for at least $12 million per year for a guy who is often injured.

All things being even, I think you get more bang for your buck with Hart right now then you do with a 35 year old Vlad. He'll end up playing in the AL so that they can rest his legs by letting him DH half the season (not to mention, his fielding has been pretty bad the last few years). When Vlad's bat speed disappears, he'll be toast, he walks a lot less than even Hart does.

I just read a report that said that the Orioles requested Sheets' medical records from his agents and never heard back. That can not be a good sign for his health. There's no way this guy gets more than a 1 year/$2 million dollar deal and most likely will get a 1 year/league minimum deal with a ton of incentives built in.

I wouldn't sign the guy unless it way hugely incentive based.I see him signing for about $6-7 million per year on a 1 or 2 year deal

Word around B-more is that Sheets just has no interest in playing for the O's. He's probably too scared to play in the AL EAST.

Yeah, that's not a good division to use as a platform for a comeback. Supposedly Jim Hendry's brilliant baseball mind might be convinced to sign Sheets in Chicago.
