Credit to Boston for competing even with all their injuries.
I went Saturday night. The Rays played pretty bad, but just good enough to stay in the game. When Dan Johnson came up to bat in bottom of the 10th and watched the first 2 strikes go by without a swing, me and the guy behind me were trash talking him saying "how is this guy a DH" then POP, walk-off home run. He proved us wrong. I plan on attending at least another game before the playoffs.

I've gone to a lot of games and have a few more to go. Won't attend playoffs (provided that they make it).

Looking forward to my trip to Fenway Monday and Tuesday.

Can we put a fork in the Bosox yet?

I think the Redsox are done. They have to many holes with all the injuries. Ortiz and Beltre can't carry them to the playoffs alone when they are so far behind so late in the year.

Good time at Fenway last week - at least the games the Rays won.

Rough game against Toronto yesterday. We should have swept them at Toronto. Hard to believe our ace reliever Soriano couldn't hold the 1 run lead and gave up a walk off 2-run HR.

Tonight Rays are home again - NYY. CC vs Price. Great matchup.

I'll be there.

Go Rays!

It appears that the Yankees are cleverly playing themselves out of the AL East title and positioning themselves for a first round match-up with the Twins instead of the Rangers.

Tampa Rays back in first - nice 11th inning walk off HR by rook Reid Brignac. His ball went 2 rows over my head - the closest I've ever been to catching a ball - thought I may get the ricochet. The disgruntled Yankee fan who caught the ball threw it back onto the field in disgust. He actually almost hit the Yankee RF in the head accidentally.

Last night's game: this is me in the gray shirt/white hat (not Yankee jersey guy), arms in the air looking at Yankee fan who is also celebrating my team beating his team. We in Florida can't understand how a so-called Yankee fan can be celebrating a 11th inning walk-off HR to be his team.

This explains why our fan base seems to be weak, but we have a lot of transplants who will ride the fence. They support the winner (definition of bandwagon fan).

that's not at all how I imagined a Yankee fan to look and act.

they're pretty obnoxious at our stadium - but they were sent home, silenced, with another fantastic Rays win tonight.
