Default 2-1

Pirates 0 @ Cards 0 (postponed). Series finale was postponed due to rain, and will be made up as part of a day night double header on June 14. In other Central action from the start of the season: The Cubs won 2 of 3 against the Brewers, the Reds and Braves split 4 games in Atlanta, and the Brewers lost to the Orioles today, with the Reds and Cubs having the day off. That leaves the Cubs and Cards tied for first at 2-1, the Reds a half game back, Pittsburgh 1 back, and the Brewers are now 1.5 games behind. 2 game series vs. the Royals starts on Tuesday; Daniel Lynch (4-6, 5.69 last year) starts for the year while the Cards will go with Monday’s scheduled starter Dakota Hudson (1-0, 2.08) with game time scheduled for 7:45.

Still can't get over a non-pitcher being used by the Cards, already up 18-0 in a game against the Pirates. And Yadi Molina gives up four runs in the ninth???

Nevertheless, the Cards held on....

It's a dead heat between Machado and Arenado for the third base starter top vote at the All-Star Game. Arenado should top out. He's well-deserving.

Ollie wasted Pujols two days in a rou. AP is still a productie player and Ollie uses him like a hood ornament to parade him around the league for the ovations. Game 1, Phil, down 2 in ninth. He can PH Albert 1st or 4th. He leads off with him. Game 2, automatic IP situation, send up Albert, who is now wasted without picking up the bat. No remaining position players, in the 9th, two days in a row, cuz he has to have what, 17 or 18 pitchers like McFarland.

9th today, meat of the batting order, first 4 men fail to hit a ball off the IF grass. Arenado, tying run on 3rd, watches a 3-2 Deefus pitch roll right down the middle. Tsk tsk.
