Padres are dangerous, 9 of their last 11 they've won entering today. Obviously, too late to get them into the playoffs, but if they continue to play well into next week they may knock the Nats out of the playoffs who they play in Washington in the middle of the week.

Why does Brandon Moss remain in the lineup? He has struck out in six consecutive at bats, two on Friday and four on Saturday. He has many miscues playing first base and right field. The Cardinals have better options in players competent to play first base and right field and hit balls with bats.
