Padres are dangerous, 9 of their last 11 they've won entering today. Obviously, too late to get them into the playoffs, but if they continue to play well into next week they may knock the Nats out of the playoffs who they play in Washington in the middle of the week.

I do not think the Padres are that dangerous. The Upton brothers have consistency issues. If they won more games, then the Padres would be taken seriously.

Clearly the early favorite to get the NL pennant. I'm sold on those guys.

Their next game is gonna start tonight at 8:15. But anyways, I'm sure they might be the most loved to win the NL pennant this year.

Whew! Cards squeaked out a needed win today over the Cubs. We've got to get a new win streak started and wrap up this division.

Now we head to Cincy. Should be no problem there.

Cincy seems to think otherwise.

If the Cardinals continue to drop winnable games and blow the National League Central Division lead, there should be significant changes in the offseason.

Why does Brandon Moss remain in the lineup? He has struck out in six consecutive at bats, two on Friday and four on Saturday. He has many miscues playing first base and right field. The Cardinals have better options in players competent to play first base and right field and hit balls with bats.

That would be an interesting series if both clubs win their divisional series.
