We have threads for several different baseball teams, so why not one for Cardinals fans? This is the time. As you well know by now, St Louis is rich with a tremendous baseball tradition, and Card fans are as loyal as any in the major leagues. So let's get started here, shall we? All Cardinals fans need to gather together right here so we can discuss any and all things Cardinals. (No haters, please). Come on over and let's talk Cards!

I'm basically ecstatic about the way Jaime Garcia has been pitching so far. Fantastic start to the year for him.

The offense is frustrating at points, so I hope things get better as people start to hit their grooves. It's hard to complain when you're winning, but the team seems a bit stagnant at the plate right now. We need a breakout game, I think.

Edit - And, of course, right as I say this, we go up 6-0 over the Braves.

The division is wide open, so the Cards just need to build a significant advantage. Just think, if we can get a big distance from the other teams going into September, we can wrap this thing up early. For the time being, I'm confident that things will get better at the plate.

And Jaime takes it to the Phillies tonight. What a great season he's having so far - I'm really happy for him.

It's never a bad thing to be 10 games over .500 on May 3!

So that other Cardinal thread wasn't the official one? They were impressive tonight.

The "I don't think the Cardinals are very impressive" thread? I thought about posting in there last night, but I'm just letting the Cards' play speak for itself. If he's not impressed now, he never will be.

Heck of a pitcher's duel last night. I think we're watching a NLCS preview.

We'd better start getting busy with winning, and going on the road to Cincy is what we need right now after not getting it done against Houston. Tonight, it's Jaime Garcia on the mound for us, so we need this weekend series to get an extra leg up over the Reds.

So here we are in August, with plenty of momentum, and the Cards are in first. The Reds are right behind us and are playing really well, so we've got to hang on and keep up the momentum for the playoffs. We should take care of the Cubs without much problem, but we've got the Brewers come Tuesday.

Jake Westbrook is proving to be a great acquisition for us. We finally got a win for him, so I'm breathing a sigh of relief.
