Exactly. Seen him call a few games with ESPN and last year in postseason, I think with TBS. He was born to be a baseball anouncer with that great voice and knowledge of the game.

Bob Uecker is one of the funniest- when it's for real- or the movies!

Being in ATL- the Braves have gone through a battery the last few years:
Pete Van Wieren- good
Joe Simpson- good
Chip Caray- someday he'll be as good as Dad or Grandpa.
Brian Jordan- not so good
Tom Glavine- not so good
John Shmoltz- not so good, but better than the previous two.
(the late) Skip Caray- one of the best; non-bias and pretty funny also.
You have Jim Powell now, the guy I was hoping would fill Uecker's seat when he retires.

Joe Angel and all of MASN are awful.
MASN is a fraud network which never should have been created.
The fact is this is more proof of Bud Selig and his illegal dealings.
To give a puny, bad market like Bawlmer control over DC's TV rights is socialism at its worst.

??

DC's metro without Baltimore and its suburbs would be equally "puny." DC is not much, if at all, bigger than Baltimore.
