It's supposed to be a NBATV channel but WNBA programming is on the network? No more NBA greatest games like it used to be early in the decade since It's clear new people have taken over the channel.

They think NBA fans want to see women's basketball?

How? I never seen any women playing against Lebron James. Just create a channel called WNBATV and be done with it.

You've never seen women playing against Lebron James... That's where you went with that? Seriously?

Yes it's so simple to create a channel for the WNBA. Great idea. Except, it isn't wildly popular to begin with. Most sports fans aren't interested in it.

And how are they together? Some ideas: (In no particular order of importance)

NBA Cares: NBA Fit For Adults

WNBA.com: WNBA Kia Awards (kia motors? look familiar? also top of the page)

The logos look a little (just a little) similar.

They participate in All-Star weekend together.

Both are part of the Turner Sports and Entertainment Digital Network

Shared marketing, similar endorsements... Yea they are independent of each other in some respects. And The WNBA clearly needs the NBA and it's popularity, major market connections, and money to stay relevant. But don't dismiss it all together... And what else are they gonna show on that network? Greatest games 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for several months in the offseason might be great for a hardcore fan, but I'd get bored with that and never watch the network until the regular season. It's more about appeasing the casual fan instead of the die-hard. You'll be back at the start of the regular season anyway.

I'm not saying you should be a fan. Obviously most people aren't. But they have enough fans to be on tv. They're on ESPN/ABC networks and they should be on NBATV as well. I guess if you were a NFL fan, you'd have a big problem with them showing Arena Football League games on NFL Network, right? The AFL has little to no affiliation with the NFL...
