Gordon Hayward? I had to go on Wikipedia and look up who that was. LOL. You threw his name out there like he was Kevin Durant.
The fact that you have to check Wikipedia to find out whoa lottery pick is from last year's NBA draft tells me all I need to know about your basketball knowledge.
IU, when you have the time, look up the who's who of Carolina Basketball and Indiana Basketball. Now, put them side by side and even you will be blown away. I could probably put you guys in there with Duke when it comes to players, but trying to compare with Carolina?? No one can touch that level......ever, No One. Dude, I have alot of respect for IU Basketball and their fans. They ARE some of the most passionate FANS on the planet. Can't take that away from them. Give credit where it's due. Kentucky and UCLA have more championships than Carolina, but Dude.....There is no Tobacco Road in none of these places. You guys don't get it, but everyone is quick to scream "it's a religion @ our school" You want to see a religion, come to Tobacco Road the week Carolina and Duke plays. You will never be the same in life again. This is why as a state "The Big 4" makes North Carolina the top basketball state bar none.............Come on man!! Nobody from IU, Kentucky, UCLA got statues of them and got everybody in world wearing their shoes and clothes, including you. If that doesn't give you a clue of how serious this basketball thing is in North Carolina, you are just kidding yourself because of where you reside.

Indiana is like the Notre Dame of the college basketball world. Still a highly regarded program despite very few accomplishments over the past 25 years.
I'm not a basketball fan but I can be watching anything on TV and the program will be interrupted by some sportscaster to tell the viewers the somebody from Duke just made a basket.
Key players on UNC and Duke national championship teams since 1990:
Eric Montross
Sean May
Tyler Zeller
Mason Plumlee
All are from Indiana. And I'm probably forgetting some. It's not just about the success of the state's college teams. It's about who produces top college and NBA talent. The NBA is chock full of kids from Indiana who played college ball elsewhere.
