The Knicks getting a new coach won't do anything since Carmelo (not sure about Amare) has been resistant to that concept in the past.

They will keep this coach until they need a scapegoat and then replace him.

Think back to some really good coaches (Larry Brown, Karl etc.) that have run into un-workable stars and guess what happens? Coach leaves, nothing changes.

Which happen to be 3 of the 4 best players, role players come and go but your key players need to establish some kind of rhythm and continuity which can only come from years of playing together. It's why a team like the 90's Bulls can switch over their entire roster aside from Jordan and Pippen, and still win titles across an 8 year period. Because the key elements ( Jordan, Pippen, Jackson) were in unison.

BS. The teams that do well in the regular season go deep in the playoffs with few exceptions.

I haven't checked the stats but the NBA champ will have had one of the top 4 or so regular season records.

Yeah. The Celtics are looking *awful* relative to where they once were. The beat down vs. the heat sunday with HCA on the line was very telling too.

It would be nice for the Bulls to reach the finals because they thier path cleared by the Celtics trading Perkins and next year I expect the Heat to have added some key pieces and be even tougher.

Celtics looked old and slow, I missed most of the Celtics-Bulls from last Thursday but if this was the team that showed up, no wonder they got hammered.

I cannot believe this team ended up with the best record in the NBA, what a great season. I am sure this is not warranted, but I mildly worried about the Pacers. If the Bulls weren't my team, Id probably pencil them in for a sweep though
