I am getting sick of hearing about the Melo ordeal.

The Lakers, Heat, Bulls and Mavs all need to make some moves but will they?

I actually think that since the Knicks have *stabilized* that talk of players actually wanting to play there instead of just using it as a negotiating ploy are legit for the first time in years.

The journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. I was confident that Amare isn't going to take the Knicks anywhere and only in the east where there is an abyss after the first 4-5 teams would they be making the playoffs.
My suspicions are borne out by the Knicks being one of the worst defensive teams in the league BUT they are now at least not a laughing stock and can build from here.

I don't follow the NY media I'm curious if they are still ripping the Knicks (owners) a new one on a daily basis like before?

3 of the 4 teams you named have had records very very close to San Antonio over the past 30 or so games. Heat and Bulls had a slow start and have since closed the gap with Boston. The Mavs lost 6 games in a row with Dirk hurt.

ESPECIALLY the Bulls do not need Carmelo given what the asking price is. Personally, I think the Bulls right now have a team capable of winning a championship with a little experience. Put a defensive 2-guard cut from the Michael Finley cloth and I think they'd be there....they don't need Melo.

there seems to be a lot f people wanting to ply there for a couple reasons. 1 they gonna get PAID! 2nd its NYC and the exposure is crazy thus more ad deals and things of that nature, meaning MORE MONEY! (granted NYC has one of the top 5 tax rates in the US) NYC is for greedy players imo, and no team lead by mike "porn stache" d'antoni is going to win much of anything.

IMO Denver currently wants too much for Melo. As the deadline nears someone will either blink or everyone will just stand pat and see what the CB etc. brings.

No way to know unless you are a fly on the wall of the offices in Denver.

The biggest idiots are the Knicks. Melo will absolutely sign there in the summer but they are offering half the team for him.

Did not say they need Melo at all.

I said they all need to make some moves, never said anything about for Melo.

Bulls need another player, Mavs need another big man, Heat need some bench help.

To compete with Boston who can go 10 deep these teams will all need some help down the road.

They can sign him all they want but wont be any better.

They need to play some defense and Melo does not play defense.

The Bulls in particular have left a trail of beaten high calibre teams in their wake over the past 2 months....and that's with Noah out.

While another player would be nice, it's hard to pick up somehting for nothing.

I currently feel that the Bulls have the players to run with any team in the NBA but not the experience. Even still, I expect them to give Boston a huge fight assuming they meet in the playoffs.

I agree with Rigas and you with regards to the Knicks.
