OMG, I totally missed that.

Yeah, it's funny when you scroll down the list of winners and it's littered with guys that are Top 10, Top 20 ALL TIME GREATS with so few MVPs.

Yep....you almost want to puke when you say 'Steve Nash has as many MVPs as Shaq and Kobe combined'. ...Trying to keep it in...

With regards to Lebron-Wade, they don't have the same Jordan-Pippen dynamic. The latter duo had a clear pecking order. Lebron and Wade are more 1a and 1b. Just because Lebron's numbers are a bit better( and, it's not a dramatic difference), doesn't mean he's necessarily the leader of the team. I think Wade is still the emotional leader of that club. And,if anyone has noticed, Wade is having a career high in rebounds while allowing Lebron to do most of the playmaking. So, if anything, I respect Wade for essentially incorporating a dominant force in Lebron, giving up one aspect( being the primary ballhandler), and focusing on another( dramatically improved rebounding). Frankly, I'll always be more impressed with Wade than Lebron because Wade doesn't enjoy the physical advantages Lebron has over, well, everyone.

Agreed Greg. 20 seconds left and down by 2 I'd much rather have the hands in Wade's hands than Lebron.

That wasn't the case Jordan/Pippen.

I just blew chunks all over my computer.

We should have a "worst player to win an MVP award" thread.

Nash wins....followed by AI and then Dirk.

Would Nash and Dirk have won if they were not white?

Hmmm.... I think Dirk was deserving that year. He definitely had an MVP caliber regular season, which is what the award is based on. You have to consider the next best player on that squad was Josh Howard( where is he now, anyway), and the Mavs won 67. What spoiled that MVP season was getting ousted by the Warriors in the first round. I think that made Dirk drop in the eyes of many.
