That's the scary thing about the knicks. IF IF IF they started playing D like they did back in the day......they'd be a force to be reckoned with. Instead, they let the worst shooter in the league go off of them for 1 on 4 layups.
well can't criticize the Knicks tonight since they was without Billups and Stoudmire

That is an fair point with regards to the win\loss.

However, that was some of the worst team D I'd ever seen. Rondo looked like he was playing pick-up games at the Y against a bunch of guys with hangovers.

Swept in four. No doubt the same fate awaits our hapless Denver Nuggets who are down 3-0 vs OK City, OK.

Oh well, whatcha' gonna' do?

Perimeter oriented finesse team gets squeezed out in four games by a more well-rounded team. No surprise. About the only thing that separates them and the Hawks is the Hawks have some inside presence. Magic, too, really. That series winner will be gone soon enough.

Now, with the Rangers out, the MSG renovations go on a bit sooner than we liked.

The trade exploited how short their bench is. Melo didn't step up but once. Unless they do some serious roster changes AND COACH CHANGES they will be a barely 500 team next year.

With a healthy Amare and some free agency to shore things up I expect them to break .500 no problem....even with their coach.

However, I probably can't blame the coach that much....anyone they bring in at this point is going to have thier work cut out for them getting the stars to play D and if the stars don't buy in, no one else will.

A huge *if* but the team with a new defensive attitude and some free agent moves could be one of the better teams in the east next year....but that might be a pipe dream.
