report is now 2 games in a row melo has walked straight to the bus without talking to the media after, and apparently he didnt get up off the bench during a time out because he was "pouting".

i think melo gets pornstache' fired as the coach. they should change the name of the knicks but i ant think of a good name, drama is to obvious of a name.

Well the 76ers are now 6th because the knicks are playing like crap and lost to a pistons team who won't be in the playoffs

The knicks are a disgrace as a organization for creating such a "cute" identity. Your two best players are average at best when it comes to playing defense. Even the showtime Lakers played hard defense even though they played at a fast pace. The knicks are poised to repeatedly lose in the second if not the first round every year.

IMO Melo got the taint from Iverson a couple years back. Letting a guy like that around younger stars....why not just introduce melo to heroin while you are at it?

I'm not surprised about the Season Tix. The Knicks are going to be in the playoffs for years to come, how deep is still a big "?" but the east is only about 7 teams deep so you have to be *BAD* to not make the playoffs in the east.

on top of that, the knicks and their fans tend to not be as concerned about "winning" so much as about "looking good". they have a pretty team with melo and amare regardless of how far they go. if it was a "who has the prettiest team in the league" the knicks are in second place behind the heat. (by pretty i mean who has the "names"). knicks fans are fickle and seem to be more about flash over substance. it is the fissionable thing to go to the knicks game, 50% of the people who go dont have any idea who is on their team behind melo, amare, billups, and MAYBE fields. 75% of them prolly dont have any idea who they traded to get melo, they only know they got him and their team is sexy for it. i would be willing to be that 15-20% of the "fans" LOVE the move that Isiah made to get melo on the team, 50% of THOSE fans wonder why they never see Isiah on the bench, "why does he let his assistant coach so much".

knicks, what a joke.

In fairness you have to split Knicks fans into 2 groups (just like Laker fans). You have the serious ones and then you have the bandwagoners. The latter left thier ketchup and teddy grahm stained finger prints all over some of the early pages of this thread before going AWOL.

the disappointing thing with this team is the inconsistency, underachievement, terrible execution down the stretch and lack of effort... sure they play hard on offense but on defense its like they don't care...
before i go on to the other posts, this is by far theeee most frustrating thing about being a knicks fan. moving along:

To me its more about how we lose. OK..we have a bunch of new pieces that aren't geling quite yet. But why can't our "offensive genius" of a head coach call up a play for a clean shot in the entire 4th quarter with TWO of the top FIVE scorers in the league on the court? Doesn't fail to baffle my mind.

why am I mad?
Paying two dudes max money. Melo scores 5 points second half. Amare 2.
I guess I should smile like pringles and say uhhh we gotta do a better Job

man the knicks have needed to do a better Job for the past decade

its not just 1 game... the knicks have been playing terrible period... the future looks bleek... i dont want to think too much about it but something is wrong with this team and it shows... i hope they can turn it around but then again we say that after every game they been losing lately... and im not buying into this mediocrity even if we make the playoffs... this team should end the season at least 41-41 record and even before the trade that looked realistic...but they should have a record over .500 to end the season... 2 superstars on the same time needs results.. no more excuses

*+%$ melo!!! Get that @*%#* off the team man I'm tired of that @*%#*. What is that @*%#* problem? He dint know how to share the damn ball. Dude wanna smile when he makes a mistake and $*$+. *+%$ outta here. Then he wanna bark at his teammates when they make one. Go look in the mirror u bird. I call that a coward. Melo u a $!$++% coward. *+%$!!

Honest question....why are people mad at Melo? To be mad at Melo almost indicates to me that the people posting to that chat board are new to following the NBA?

He is EXACTLY the same player he was before. We all talked about how he and Amare didn't play D and that for the Knicks to have success they will need not only additional pieces from free agency, they will need to bring in a new coach AND get buy in to play D from the 2 stars.

They gave Denver the kitchen sink in that trade and most of us predicted the Knicks would not be any better. I'm one of the few people that thought the trade was decent in a longer-term scheme but make no mistake the Knicks would be working off a flawed core.
