1. Is this the first year for the games to be televised on TNT?

2. If not, how long has TNT aired NCAA tournament games

3. Why is Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith on CBS as college basketball analysts? Or have they done this last year?

Barkley is an idiot and ruins the game every time he is on.

His sarcastic comments and sometimes racist comments makes me sick.

When made the comment that some of the women performing at the NBA all star game halftime will cause him to have to take a bottle of viagra he should have been fired and never again on a national TV show.

Constantly making stupid comments he needs to taken off the air and the demeans the game.

Then his constant bragging about himself also makes me sick.

I do not think he was that great of a player as he makes himself out to be and I do not think he ever won anything such as an NBA crown, scoring etc.

Get rid of him. Far too many smarter people available who can call a game without making the insane comments he does all game long.

^------ Another person who thinks Barkley is great. The TNT crew (Barkley, Smith, Ernie, etc) is the best crew in Basketball IMO. They are funny.

Barkley is a waste of space (big space) in that studio. Even after the conculsion of Butler's zany win over Pitt, he couldn't recollect who the name of the BU & Pitt players who were involved in the next-to-last foul at mid-court ("that kid from Butler" and "that kid from Pitt"). He constantly has done this I've noticed, or refers to the players by numbers only. Gilbert Brown & Shelvin Mack were incredible last night (except of course for Mack's ridiculous foul at mid-court). Brown has been a key contributor to a team ranked #1 most of the season. Mack is one of the best guards in the country & a starter on last year's amazing run to the championship game!
This village idiot provides no more insight as what a sixth grader could provide for an episode of "Wipe Out". Half of what comes out of Barkley's mouth makes me feel as though my IQ has just dropped by half, while the other half is barely legible. All this nonsense about people like Barkley drawing viewers is rubbish- I'm tuned in only to try and get the updates of the other games and some of the post-game comments from coaches & players following Butler's amazing two wins in this tourney. Shooting from the hip is one thing. Speaking like an even dumber version of Bill Maher doesn't make me more curious about one's comments, but rather it makes me tune out and shake my head and it further substantiates better why China is laughing at our country.
If Barkley indeed is an analyst normally on NBA telecasts, it probably should be of no shock, as he is perfectly suited for that Mickey Mouse league which caters strictly to the MTV generation. Stick to what can't possibly be over your head Charles- it isn't as though the NBA requires strategic game planning, hence insightful minds need not apply!

Then just more the reason why this air hog shouldn't be providing "insight" when he has obviously proven to possess little knowledge. As a perfect example, he constantly berates the Big East as being overrated. That's fine. But has he actually elaborated in way, shape, or form as to why? Of course not- just showcase your sixth grade mentality by leaving it at that. BTW, it just came to light on another forum that Barkley several years ago is quoted as saying that "college basketball is a joke" in reference to recruiting scandals and like. No question, there is a serious issue on that front. But if you call a sport "a joke", then all the more reason why Barkley shouldn't be qualified to be a studio analyst. Either he is full of it, or he is a hypocrite.
