Do you see him coaching at Butler next year? Or will a major-conference school make him an offer he can't refuse?

He is not going anywhere. He's a local guy with a good thing going and he's not about the money.......

Phil Knight basically offered half of his Nike empire to Stevens last year to coach at Oregon. If Crean doesn't pan out at Indiana, it is a possibility Stevens would go to Bloomington- but god, I hope not. Go Butler!

The most likely future coaching jobs for Brad Stevens at some point in the future, as I see it:

8) DePaul

7) Illinois

6) Xavier

5) Ohio State

4) Purdue

3) Indiana

2) Duke

1) Notre Dame

Realistically, only options 1-4 make sense at this point.

Yes the Duke rumors have circled, as premature as it is and lord only knows how long Coach K will continue to coach. Matta will be at Ohio St and Painter will be at Purdue a long time.I don't see Stevens at Notre Dame or Xavier, maybe in part because I don't want to see those programs luring Stevens of all programs- I would be sick to my stomach. But honestly Xavier is still a big Butler rival and Butler has stepped up a few notches since Xavier lured away Thad Matta- I can't see that one, especially since Matta used Xavier as a stepping stone to get to Ohio State- Stevens can skip that "stepping stone" at this point.

Didn't Brad Stevens sign a long-term contract for something like 12 years this past offseason at Butler? I don't think he's going anywhere.

Neither do I - that's why I said "future coaching jobs...at some point in the future". I can't see Brad Stevens going to just any major program, even including some major, blue-blood programs, based on A) he's spent his whole life in Indiana and B) he went to a small, private college (and I think a relatively small high school as well) and coaches at a relatively small, private college.

Im not sure where he will end up, but I like him. He is like the opposite of what Josh McDaniels was when he found success at an early age.

I would like to see him stay at Butler for the time being...it would be nice to see a mid-major consistently compete. Do the majors have to get everything they want?

Kudos to Brad and Butler; what a great run and personally have very much enjoyed watching them play these last two tourneys - the newer better Gonzaga!
