This is not a debate. The team is better now. Even if it does not show right away we are in much better position. Felton was 2 yr rental..billups can be the same. Chandler was gone after this year anyway. I do miss gallo and obv we need a big body which Mozgov was. In the end as long as we make the right moves Knicks are much better off. We have 2 superstars with the chance to bring a 3rd on board in 2012. Short term though we must and I mean MUST acquire a big bodied center. GO NY GO!

I agree with much if not all of what you said. Probably the biggest challenge for the Knicks is that they need the same type of guys that the Heat need....and the Heat have the better product. So, IMO they are going to have to fight hard to get the guys they need while being SMART about how much cap they tie up because all things being equal guys offered the same money will probably go to the heat.

The scary thing there is that this requires the Dolans to make some smart and financially astute moves to get missing pieces or risk saddling their 2 stars with crap. I'm not holding my breath....I almost expect the Dolans to announce they are bringing Eddy Curry back.
