Out of the 6 losses they lost to Memphis and Houston?

So can they really be taken seriously as a championship contender? Actually for the month of March they lost to Memphis and Portland Twice and this is not a good look as they head into the playoffs. I also think this season maybe the turning point in the Spurs run. It happens to all teams eventually

Bad Boy Pistons-1991
Bird's Celtics-1988
Magic's Lakers-1992
Iverson's 76ers-2003
Rip Hamilton Pistons-2007

Duncan Spurs.........2011???
I think we can now call this Myth busted.

lmao.

the lakers need to be worried about IF they can make it to the finals, having home court over the celtics and the heat, they cant catch the bulls or spurs.

Wait a minute...while all of the previous points are true, the Spurs losing streak started when Duncan went down with an injury...he may be the Big Stiff now, but SA has to have him to be effective. The Spurs' Big 3 all had injuries at one time or another during the steak.

Now, that said, as someone else, I never looked at this edition of the Spurs as unbeatable...they basically have a someone junk offense that really relies on 3pt shooting. You get hot, you look unbeatable...go cold, and you look like the Kings. Will they be able to sustain the necessary good shooting for the entire playoffs? Especially, when in a 7 game series, teams can better game plan for the likes of...Matt Bonner.

Now there is someone who has watched very little spurs ball. The spurs offense is predicated on pick and roll and drive/penetrate and kick. The 3 point shooting is merely a biproduct. The corner 3 is the only shot that is a staple of the offense and always has been. Look at the recent Atlanta game, Parker sliced the paint up and the spurs only took 8 threes.

last night the spurs shot 12 of 19 and won by 32. now had they missed all 12 they would have lost surely. the lakers last night shot 5 of 19 and had they made 12 instead of 5 they would have won so does this mean the lakers live and die by the 3? nope it means watch a few more games next year

Pretty much their losing streak was the product of coasting either via reduced minutes or having guys sit out "injured" for longer than needed to rest them for the playoffs.

The Lakers and Spurs are both championship calibre if both squads stay healthy and I expect to see them in the WCF.

The ECF is a tougher call, I will go with Bulls Heat right now.

A junk offense is a little too strong a term...however, their offense has still been more reliant on the 3pt shot this season whether it is a byproduct or not. The question still remains can they maintain this?
