The Lakers have a better record despite not having LeBron James on the team and playing in a more difficult conference. Kobe is the better player too. No question about it. So,. I think this one is a no brainer.

Their personal numbers are roughly the same with the exception that Wade has shot a MUCH better % from the field.

While Wade had Lebron, Gasol is no slouch and neither if Bynum plus the Lakers' have continuity. The Heat after their slow start have a much better record than the Lakers'. Wade managed to put up 25+ a night effectively while having to share the ball with others.

I'm mentioning these things to reference that it's not really a no-brainer, it's actually pretty close. With that said however, I would give the nod to Kobe.

I think Howard, Lebron, Kobe, Rose plus 1 more are your 1st team this year.

i would not say that kobe is clearly better then wade. IMO wade is better then kobe now. kobe 4 years ago is better, kobe today not so much. while he is still a top 5 player in the league, he isnt the same player.

he also has much more talent around him, and a much better coach to guide him then wade has.

now all that said, i dont see why wade AND kobe couldnt get on the 1st team. howard, lebron, wade, kobe and rose? although i think the 1st team should be blair, duncan, rj, manu and parker HA!

Wade is the more efficient scorer, and has been for a number of years. Defensively, Kobe is the better on-ball defender, Wade has the edge in blocked shots and steals( he may be arguably the best guard ever with regards to blocking shots). Wade has the edge in numbers, while playing 2-3 minutes more per game. Kobe's numbers (25,5,5) are the same as always while playing less minutes, which says he's touching the ball more to get the same numbers in 34 minutes, that he gets in 37. In my opinion, Wade's numbers suffer more from playing with Lebron, given his ball dominant style, than Kobe's do playing slightly less minutes. It's not a stretch to say that Wade could easily be putting up 28-30ppg, 7-8 assists, and 6-7 rebounds this year without Lebron on the team.

Personally I'd take Wade this year, but I have a feeling he's the one that's going to be demoted to the 2nd team.

No way both of them make first team (given how Rose has played). The final spot would go most likely to either Pau Gasol, Dirk, or Durant.

As for Wade vs Kobe, its really a toss up. I would probably say Kobe.

I'd take Kobe over Wade. I think Kobe is the better player, and I think he is more clutch. Wade is more athletic at this point of their careers.

Come on, guys. Who do you want during the 4th quarter of Game 7? It's clearly Kobe who has the will to win.

Good point, Wade and Kobe have BOTH been on the 1st team the last 2 years. It's possible that they both repeat but yet....Rose will likely be on the 1st team this year so one of them will get bumped to 2nd team.
