Knicks and Rockets have a better shot at getting him by offering him max as well as the Grizz(a little more than other teams). .Heat really can only offer mid-level exception with their payroll bloated from the big 3 and Gasol will get more than mid-level for sure, but then again, this CBA could change everything.

Heat would probably go after Nene if he opts out of his contract this summer. He might be willing to take mid-level, but even that is iffy. There is a demand out there for good centers.

I don't think the griz can go full max contract after signing zack, plus I don't think Marc is worth a max deal. With zack they will be about 53mil and I expect Marc goes more like 12mil. They still want to sign Shane also and he is going to get 5+. that will put them about 70mil with a couple other guys left to sign in a super small market with a small (non-bandwagon) fan base, and an owner who doesn't have or want to spend the money.

Houston will have much more room, and if Marc is looking to get paid that's the place to be.

The Grizz only did what they were supposed to do, PROTECT HOME COURT.

I expect the Spurs to win Game and put the pressure back on the Grizz in Game 6

I don't agree given the full head of steam the Grizz have built, however anything is possible. Should a temporary setback or worse occur our guys have accomplished great things this year, and my season tickets are set for next season.

Yeah, the CBA is the wildcard.

Knicks already have 2 max guys....but their management is indeed stupid enough to give Max to Marc. Thats a team with a lot of holes and running out of cap fast.

Isn't Perkins available too?

P.S. I seriously doubt Stoudamire-Carmello-Billups is taking much less cap than Miamis big 3 right now. Heat won't have the cash to offer but they *could* offer a longer term deal that goes out into the players far past peak years to make it attractive. (an allan Houston type contract if you will.)

It will be interesting to watch.

Perkins signed a new contract with the Thunder a few weeks after he was traded by the Celtics. There were reports earlier in the year that he turned down a 4 yr 30mil deal with the Celtics, but that is not true as you can read in the article.

If the Heat can make a big run in the playoffs it will seriously help their chances of adding a center. A guy might take a little less money for the chance of getting on a powerhouse and thus getting more endorsement money.
