After watching the current series with the Mavs, I have no doubt. The cheap shots on Barea by guys twice his size are unbelievable. And of course, their leader (?) is a rapist. They've brought shame not only on the city of L.A., but the whole league. Pitiful.

Definitely not. Pistons of the 80s were far worse.

Exactly. I was about to say I know my boys aren't exactly going out with class this year, but the Pistons back in the day were down-in-the-dumps dirty.

On and off court thugs. I jump with joy everytime they lose or get sent to jail.

I have watched basketball since Havlicek played for Boston and have never seen such blatant cry baby unsportsman like conduct from any team like Bynum and Odom displayed today in Dallas for the LA Losers. Down 30 points in a 3-0 series and they revert to thuggery! I suppose it's Dallas' fault that the Lakers just plain $ucked!!
I hope those two clowns get slapped with $100,000 fines and get suspended for the first 30 games next year. Nice way for Phil Jackson to go out and fitting given the classless scumbags he's coached over the last few years.

Phil Jackson deserved to go out with class. There's no shame in losing. But the way his players acted reflects on him, sadly. He's a good guy. I have no idea why or how he allowed these thugs to act out like total classless jerks.

Alot of people will remember PJ's team during those last few moments from now on in history. Just bush league. When you consider the knee injury history of Bynum himself, i was surprised to see him do that to Barea.

I had no problem with it. Thuggery? There aren't any dice being played during timeouts and nobody's carrying any weapons so let's chill with this "thuggery" nonsense. I'm surprised that Hubie Brown would respond the way that he did because this type of basketball was played when he was coaching...so he was just playing for the soft/lame ABC cameras (we all know that he was thinking "If I were still coaching, Bynum would give me ten laps for not laying him out").

I've seen tape of games from the 80s and this was just a routine play. For the neophyte who started this thread, look at this:

Kevin McHale Clotheslines Kurt Rambis

and you know what? Nobody was thrown out for any of that. Order was restored & folks went to the free throw line. Dallas was up by 30, why are they still shooting 3s after LA conceded?
