On the radio here today, one of the stats guys was saying that in NBA playoff history a comeback of 15 pts or more in the final 5 minutes has happened exactly once. That was last night in OKC.

It was poor shotclock management by the Thunder. While I'm too lazy to calculate it exactly right now, 15 up with 5 minutes to go, they could have simply milked the shotclock down to the last second every time, and likely still won, even if Dallas hit every shot on their side( which is practically what happened with Dirk going off). Mental lapses by a still very young and growing team, to some degree Scott Brooks needs to take a little blame for questionable coaching tactics at the end as well.

I believe it happened in Game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals

Going forward, i think the Thunder need to return Westbrook to his natural position of SG. I don't think he has the mentality of a pt. guard. Maynor should be their starting pt. guard. I think that would be a better fit. Durant needs to develop a post game this summer. He is shooting way too many jumpers and needs to drive to the hoop much more. The Mavs were just too experienced and showed poise down the stretch again. Thunder had a great season. Last year they lost in the 1st round and this year made it to the WCF, so they should be real proud.

The Thunder will be a team to be reckoned with for years to come. They're just too inexperienced right now to finish out a game at this level competition. As Magic said during the post game show on ESPN, the Thunder's tenacity probably did alot to help the Mavs prepare for whomever they'll face in the Finals.

Agree about westbrook, the guy had a HORRIBLE series in almost every way.
Quite frankly, the quite shoots too much and is a turnover machine....I'd be looking to trade him.

I wouldn't trade him, the guy is 22/23, plenty of room for growth and maturity. Plus he has elite scoring potential which is why I personally would move him to the 2-guard, and get a pass-first PG, defensive-oriented PG first. I would give the Durant-Westbrook dynamic a bit more time, to see if they can mesh their talents and egos successfully, or if you're looking at a Garnett-Marbury or Shaq-Kobe 2.0 dynamic.

Nah...he is still young and has time to develop as a 2. However, if the Hornets want to swap CP3 with Westbrook, the Thunder would oblige..
