The fact that two highly respected basketball people left the organization was the beiginning of LeBron leaving and I can't say I blame him. At that point there was nobody in terms of the basketball side of the business that he knew and could trust.

Ferry, Cavs agree to mutual parting
Not a fan of Mike Brown because he exposed himself when the cavs played the magic in the playoffs... He was clearly out coached... He will have the team play hard... They should be fine... When it comes to matchups and situational basketball he still has a lot to learn

Brian Shaw has NEVER been a head coach in the NBA and would have been asked to step in as a rookie coach and take a veteran team and contend for a title in LOS ANGELES. That's a lot of pressure to put on somebody for their first job.
Well if the franchise player is pushing for him to be the coach why didn't he get the job? When is he supposed to get his first chance?

Because the franchise player doesn't OWN THE TEAM, nor is part of the management team that makes coaching decisions.

Kobe is nearly the end of the dominant phase of his career. If he has two more years as a dominant player the Lakers will be lucky. This year he showed he's not nearly as explosive used to be or as dominant over a stretch of games as he used to be. If he wants out the Lakers should arrange a trade clear up some HUGE cap space and start rebuilding.
