I have no idea what you do for a living( and your manager), but I imagine the dynamics are quite different from the circumstances for firing an NBA head coach making millions of dollars. So that's not exactly an apples to apples bit of 'logic' you're attempting to throw into the equation.

For the record, players can be let go( via a buyout in some cases) and traded if they're not performing to what the team wants, so that's another incorrect statement to suggest that the players aren't accountable. You still haven't answered my point that going by your logic, that means 29 coaches should be fired this year, because only one coach( at this point Eric Spoelstra or Rick Carlisle) is going to win it all. Only one coach will be putting their team in position to succeed... if we're defining success as winning a championship, which is kind of the point. I don't expect you'll have any response to that, because it effectively shuts down your entire argument.

You have an overly simplistic view of how this works, and far from grounded in reality.

please do - fire him now and hire a real players coach ..... someone who will give the keys to westbrook and just let him do his thing out there

also, please fire sam presti immediately .... hire a GM with a proven track record

Kevin McHale is available .... this guy was an incredible player and does a pretty good job as an analyst .... heck, he could even coach

please do this now

not any more, kevin is headed to houston, and i personally think houston just got downgraded at the coaching position.

what TV guy apparently cant seem to understand is that the thunder where never supposed to make it to the west finals, that in and of itself means they OVER ACHIEVED so if anything give brooks a raise! he coaxed his team to do more and go farther then they where supposed to, thats good coaching or is that good players?

Good grief, some of you. The Thunder have gone from bad to the Conference Finals in just two short years. That head coach ought to be offered a contract extension.

I wouldn't say they were all that bad ..... the team has some incredibly good bones, they just need some time to adjust & develop .... not the best record, but you could tell that they had the opportunity to be good - they just needed to execute it

Presti is a wizard (actually I wish he was a Wizard.......) and brooks has done a good job in ushering in this young group

the NBA is an experience heavy league - I'm not sure OKC fans really can appreciate what they have or how this whole thing works ...... to make it to the WCF in year 4 of a complete rebuild is pretty phenominal .... brooks also had the team finish strong after a completely horrible start under PJ (not that bad basketball under PJ is surprising....)

players are developing, team is improving

Here are the players that are under 24 on that team:
Aldrich, Cook, Durant, Harden, Ibaka, Maynor, Mullens, Westbrook - coming into this year they had 12 years of NBA experience .......... combined

If you look at their playoff MPG - it was Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Ibaka, Perkins, Collison, Sefolosha, Maynor, Cook, Mohammed ...... not a bad result given the relative lack of experience these guys had

Brooks had them prepared and ready to go

theres something called a process that needs to take place... since when are teams supposed to win a championship when three of their best players are 22 and younger... Everyone from the coach and players need to hold their self accountable and just come back better next year... Some people are truly extensions of the media... The media is saying that OKC needs to make a major deal... Get the hell out of here... really... Im really getting tired of the trade marry go round n the NBA... If OKC breaks this team up then there is no point for a fan to follow a young up and coming team because as soon as they get to the playoffs and lose... The media and ownership will begin the onslaught...If it took the greatest player ever 7 years to get one what the hell is the problem

We understand that the Thunder got further than last year but allowing your team to loe a 15 pt lead with 5 mins left in a playoff game is not acceptable

lets put it this way, you go to vegas and on the 1st night of your 3 night stay you turn $1000 into $20000. now on day 3 the casino takes $15000 from you. in the end you took a terrible beat, lost $15000 in one night, but you can not over look the fact you where playing with house money, and you left with $4000 more then you came with to come back next weekend and try again.
