But now your services are no longer needed here in OKC.
Am I being harsh-----------No
The guy was out of his league, overwhelmed by all critical moments and not able to understand the game. His rotation of "whatever works at the time" was down right horrible as he was leaving guys out there for extended playing minutes. Thats one of many reasons the thunder faultered in the remaining minutes the last 2 games. How many times do you have to see that Maynor cannot guard JJ Barrera before you make an adjustment. The whole time he couldnt figure out a way to get Durant the ball in more better spots.
I could go on and on.
Amatuer hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pick up your last check and clear out your office. YOu have done your best and thats nothing to be ashamed of, but the fact is OKC has a Championship caliber team and needs a more seasoned coach.
You nuts man, OKC has a young team, promising future. Coaches in the NBA are the least important of any other sport, Red Auerbach could have been coaching them and they would have lost to Dallas.
lets put it this way, you go to vegas and on the 1st night of your 3 night stay you turn $1000 into $20000. now on day 3 the casino takes $15000 from you. in the end you took a terrible beat, lost $15000 in one night, but you can not over look the fact you where playing with house money, and you left with $4000 more then you came with to come back next weekend and try again.
The Thunder wasn't playing with House Money, they were a #4 seed in the Conference. Now if the Grizzlies had went instrad then I would apply that example

Well if they are the least important part of ANY sport why do they get paid so much money? What exactly are they paid to do?????????????????

They where a 4 seed who lost to the THREE SEED in the wcf, that is house money absolutely!
If anyone else with coaching experience on here you would understand.
There were glaring mistakes made in the eyes of other coaches not monday morning couch quarterbacking but basic tactical and rotational things that should have been obvious to apply in the games.
please do - fire him now and hire a real players coach ..... someone who will give the keys to westbrook and just let him do his thing out there
also, please fire sam presti immediately .... hire a GM with a proven track record
Kevin McHale is available .... this guy was an incredible player and does a pretty good job as an analyst .... heck, he could even coach
please do this now
You're nuts, these guys have built the best young basketball team on the NBA. This team went from getting blown out in the first round by the Lakers last year to playing in the Western Conference Finals. You DON'T break up a coach and manager of a young team when you do that. You keep guys together and work on getting them better and adding a few pieces in terms of veterans or more young talent.
Westbrook truly needs to learn how to play the point guard position or they need to bring in a legitimate point guard and move him to the shootting guard position, which I actually think might be a better move.
How did he become a coach anyway? I remember him being a little midget who came off the bench for the 76ers in the late 80's
dont have to play the game well to coach it/teach it. i mean MJ is a terrible GM and i am sure a terrible coach but was the GOAT. just because you can play doesnt mean you can teach, and just because you cant play doesnt mean you cant teach. jeff van gundy is a very good coach but can that troll play? pop was an OK player but no where near nba talent yet one of the greatest coaches. your arguments are ridiculous, ALL OF THEM!

So your telling me Erik Spolstra is a better coach than Scott Brooks because the Heat are still in it and the Thunder aren't? Are you telling me Doc Rivers is an idiot or a genius because his team went from losing almost 60 games to a championship within a year ? Get out of here with that garbage.

He's like 6 foot. Is that considered midget these days?
