Ahh, your talkin about my boys, I loved that team. But they were more dangerous, all those guys (including Otis Thorpe) might average between 10-14ppg, but they could explode for 20 or 30!

Speaking of which, their opponent that year (the Knicks) had a frequently impotent #2 scorer (John Starks).

Looking at the history, maybe the Nets teams were less potent, they had Kidd, Kittles, Jefferson, KMartin, etc. You could say they had #2s but no #1 scorer.

BTW, I'm talking about teams in the Finals, not necessarily the winners.

He's having a bad shooting series. He's a much better player than he has shown.

Dallas overall has yet have breakout shooting game in this series. Part of this I'm sure is the defense the Heat has played. But we've haven't see the best of J.J. Barea, Peja, or Tyson Chandler.

Whichever team wins game 5 is in the drivers seat for the rest of the series.

As did I...though I preferred the 95 version with Drexler. Hakeem would not be denied that season, and to this day that may be the most impressive run I've ever seen: winning a championship on the road all the way through, and going through pretty much a who's who list of 90's greats- some guys names Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Robinson, Shaq, Penny. Not bad at all... Too bad that team never got to play the Jordan Bulls. Talk about an epic matchup....

Other than the Pistons 04' who did it with no superstar, Hakeem really carried this team on his back. The only guy that has a sniffing chance of making it to the HOF is Horry, but even that is in much doubt. I miss those days.

I believe the Rockets were the 6th seed in the playoffs that year. An impressive title considering they were down 3-1 to the Suns in a previous series.

This thread isn't about the Rockets is it? Isn't it about the Mavs and Heat?

The Pistons really bucked an established trend of the two star system; instead they fielded a team with alot of really good players, no standout star, though Billips took on the closer role.

Correct, Rockets were the 6th seed that year.

So which schizo Lebron will show up tomorrow night? Will he score 40pts or 4 pts?

Even though the series is already four games in, I'll say the Mavs take Game 5 again in front of their home crowd, and then get it done as soon as possible in Game 6 in Miami. A little payback for when the Heat won it all in '06 in Dallas.

James got criticized for trying to play the ball instead of passing and assisting to Wade in the game 2 loss. Now he get's criticized for not playing it and passing the ball to other players in game 4. Maybe the fact is just that Dallas is playing good defense. If James decides to go for the shots more in the next game he will probably miss some opportunities that Wade would not have let go and again get criticized for not playing team basketball and not passing it to Wade or Bosch.
