Lebron James himself said he's not better than Jordan. Finally some sanity thrown into this debate. Does Lebron do some thing better than Jordan? Well no s**t.... there are many players who play certain aspects of the game better than Jordan. MJ's considered the best because he did everything well, excelled on both offense and defense, had an unbreakable will, ALWAYS rose to the occasion(can you say that about Lebron? hmmmmmmmmm) when the stakes were highest. Oh and 6 championships with 6 finals MVPs, 5 regular season MVPs, 10 scoring titles, playoff scoring leader, highest scoring average in league history. Shall I go on??

Wade has a ring without James. Pippen never did have one without Jordan. Just saying.

However, like TVandSportsGuy said, the jury's still out.

No chance.I never really liked Jordan but you can't deny his talent and he was definitely better than Lebron in his prime. In my opinion, Lebron has just crossed that peak and now the slope is going slowly down.

Stern and the NBA used Jordan as the face of their globalization campaign in the 90s - so MJ's face was literally everywhere. Combine that with his will to win, playing ability, and exposure outreaches (Nike, Space Jam, etc) - and you have the perfect recipe for universal acceptance and admiration.

He could've easily beat Clinton in a general election.

All true. Which added to his legend. Michael started out dunking and then developed into a real shooter.

But Michael never could have stayed with LeBron However, James could check Michael. He's not as handsome or as clean cut but LeBron is simply a better player.

Of course Lebron is a great player, but has yet to not choke in the playoffs. He may shed that this year, but in the past he has missed crucial shots, put up wild 3's and missed free throws. I think the fact he has Wade and Bosh behind him has boosted his confidence.

For right now Jordan vs Lebron, its Jordan. Keep in mind as Lebron ages his stats will go down.
Besides having a 37.1/game scoring year Jordan also had a 32.5/8/8 year, Lebron will not do that. Jordan wins the following stats, but it wouldnt be even that close if you took the same time period that Lebrons been in the league.

Scoring: 30.1 vs 27.7
Rebounds: 6.2 vs 7.1
Assists: 5.3 vs 7.0
shooting%: 49.7 vs 47.9
FT %: 83.5 vs 74.4
Titles: 6 vs 0

Yep... Jordan has advantages in 4 of the 6 categories here. And let's face it, at 6'8 270 Lebron has a less than one per game rebounding advantage?? We know Lebron's the better passer, nothing news-breaking there. How about steals? Jordan 2.3 , Lebron 1.7. Blocks, Jordan 0.8 to Lebron's..... 0.8 despite being 2-3 inches shorter. Field goal percentage, Jordan 49.7%, Lebron 47.9%( and this takes into account that Jordan's final 2 Wizard seasons dropped his percentage, same with his scoring average).
