Ex-UNLV great Armen Gilliam dies

Armen Gilliam, who was part of the UNLV Runnin' Rebels basketball team that made a run to the Final Four in 1987 and who played for several NBA teams, has died. He was 47.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office in Pennsylvania said Wednesday that Gilliam died Tuesday night at the LA Fitness gym in Bridgeville while he was playing basketball.

Is it me or does it seem like these deaths are happening earlier and earlier with athletes?

Big guy syndrome....they just don't live that long.

I mean, look at Shaq, you think he is going to make it to 70? 60?

A near future question for Shaq would be, how much will he weigh 3-4 yrs from now? If he hires a nutritionist/fitness trainer for the rest of his life, he should be ok. If not, you gotta wonder if he stays below 400 lbs.
