maybe you should go look their numbers up, nash on his career averages 1 point more per game, 1 assist less, half as many rebounds, and he shoots 8% better fg% (40 to 48%) kidd averages more then a steal per game more, and their turnovers are nearly identical. their numbers are very close (except that pesky rebounding and steals other wise known as part of defense) kidd used to take over games, he wasnt an outside shooter but has worked on his 3s lately. he can/could do everything nash did/does BUT he does much more as he knows how to play defense, and rebound. on the offensive end, nash and kidd are almost the same but in the game of basketball there are 2 sides to every game and kidd has both sides, nash only has one. kidd hands down, not even close.

isnt Oscar Robinson a shooting guard? If he is a point he's #2 and Payton is not in top 5... Either way though. Kidd is top 5... but he has to go behind Stockton. so he's either 4th or 5th.

1. Magic
2. Isiah
3. Stockton
4. Kidd
5. Payton

He is an all time great, but the greatest I cant see it... Most point gaurds dont play that long so a lot of his numbers or taken out of context... He always have been revelant since he has been in the league and it is no knock on him... He is definately up there

I really don't know if I'd call Kidd a 'liability' as a scorer. In his prime with NJ, he was putting up 15-18 points per game, which is more than respectable for a PG. I think it's more accurate to say he was a liability in terms of 'shooting' in his prime, which now that he is out of his prime, he has rectified as he's a much improved spot-up shooter. He's had to reinvent himself in order to stay relevant, as his physical skills decline... imagine a prime Kidd, with his current jump-shooting ability!
