Round 4 Team Orangeish Pick

Spoiler

Man, as a bulls fan, I hated him, but probably not as much as the rest of the league, since he never really stood in our way in the 90s. But he could flat out play, quick release, deadly accuracy and a killer in the mental aspect of the game. He would get in your head, then drop a three in your eye.

Lets face it, I have an amazing starting line up

PG- Magic
SG- Reggie
SF- ???
PF- Malone
C- Howard.

Come get some.

Dammit, figured he'd be available by my next pick

Who's got the next few picks?

Also, since we lost a guy ( Davy) did you guys want to push it to 7-8 man rosters? Or we comfortable with 6?

You have Wilt? I'm starting to forget who has who lol without digging through all the prior pages.

Might I recommend Orangeish, that you mod the opening post to have a run-down of the picks for easy reference, and updated by yourself every-time a pick is made...

Well, it's time for a pick.

For my 5th pick in the CD All Time NBA Draft, I'm signing a low post scorer:

Spoiler

Adrian Dantley

A 6-5 small forward, Dantley averaged 24.3 pts/game in his HOF career. Outside of Shaq, there has never been a more efficient volume scorer then AD. He led the league in scoring twice and finished in the top 3 five times. Dantley's field goal percentage never dipped below 55% in any of those years.

(I hated the guy after my Mavs traded my favorite player - Aguirre - to the Pistons for Dantley; we know how that turned out. )

My team as currently constructed:

C - Hakeem
PF -
SF - Dantley
SG - Ray Allen
PG - Jason Kidd
6th - Wilt*

* excepting offers

Looks like we're the only two awake and not hungover.

So it would seem lol...

Well then, the time has come to fill out my lineup. My frontcourt is more than set I'd say, and amazingly I have not yet drafted a point guard. I need someone who can score, pass, and defend like a pitbull. Someone not afraid to back down, even from the greatest of all-time( as you'll see in my picture). Someone who has the size to defend shooting guards if need be, and the quickness to defend the speedy points.

I select:

And to round out my lineup, I'm quite pleased that this underrated shooting guard has fallen into my lap. In the annuals of NBA history, there aren't many I'd take before him, and two of them went in the first round. And it's those two players that are the main reason I'm taking:

Spoiler

Clyde Drexler had the misfortune of playing at the same time as Michael Jordan. And he's become somewhat forgotten amidst the wave of shooting guards to hit the scene the past decade. But he led the Trailblazers to 2 NBA finals, and played a strong secondary role to Hakeem on the 1995 Rockets title team. At 6'7 and 210, he has the size and athleticism to match Jordan and Kobe, while giving both players something to think about when guarding him. He's scored as much as 27 points per game, rebounded as high as 7.9 per game, passed to the tune of 8 assists per game, and chipped in career averages of 2 steals, and 47% shooting. As an all-around force, The Glide did it all.
