Like the Durant pick, Orangeish.... fast becoming one of my favorites. In particular I love his humility.... hope he stays that way.

I agree, as usual someone picks my next one, this time Durant. I think he'll easily end his career top ten career scoring.

Anyways, sorry for the delay folks ya'll know about Saturday nights and all. For my 7th round pick I'll go with:

I'll go with steady consistency, solid defense, outside shooting, and quiet leadership.

NBA Finals MVP (1989)
6 NBA All-Star (19901993, 1995, 1997)

2 All-NBA Third Team (19901991)

Morning fellas, Sunday's are kinda dicey for me but I jumped on just in time it seems.

My team has been thrown together in a patchwork fashion, but I'm hoping that with a HOF PF it will come together.

If that were my team I'd be tempted to start Ray Allen to spread the floor, all those guys score near the rim. Your 2/3/4/5 all work best with the ball in their hands to create their own shot.

For my next pick, I'm surprised this all-time great bigman is still on the boards. Can score big, rebound, protect the paint, and has an intensity and a 'snarl' to his persona that I want on my team.

His name often shows up on the list of 'greatest players never to win a title'; perhaps a 'dubious' honor, but I'm still obliged to take perhaps the most prolific shooting center to play the game:

I'm mulling over the second of my back to backs....stay tuned.

I wasn't sure which way I wanted to go( big or small) with my next pick, then it suddenly dawned on me. Incredulously, one of the most obvious perimeter picks has managed to not get drafted at this point. Have we all gone mad? Are we worried about how his game would translate to the modern era? But then I look at other posters' rosters, and see other 'old-school' players for which you can apply the same argument. On principle alone, I am OBLIGED to take this great guard, one of the best in NBA history, and hell how has he NOT been picked all along:

Spoiler

Jerry West from the University of West Virginia

Career highlights
I mean, did we really go 7 rounds without picking THE LOGO??!!

I'd like to get the board's feelings on making this a 10 player draft, so we can have two complete 5 man units. The draft has been moving along pretty fast, so since we're going 8 rounds, at this stage I think we can squeeze out another two rounds plus a coach draft, and have it wrapped up by Tuesday. And then spend the next week debating ad nauseum over who has the best overall team
