Ok, never done this kind of thing before. We're simply picking a particular version( year) of any player we want, to create our own teams? Like, I can pick 1995 Hakeem, for example? How are we determining the order? Excuse my slowness, haven't had my coffee yet.

Edit: Ok I reread the opening post, think I got the concept. I got my ideal lineup already( I'm really hopeful 2 particular players fall into my lap lol) Ready when you all are.

Im slammed too MG, but honestly, I think you might only have to make a pick once every 2-3 days with the # of people we have. And since this is all time, I dont even think it requires much thought, just preference.

Do what you gotta do...but I think you should still participate.

Yeah, you pick a player and you get their "value" at their prime. So if you picked Hakeem, you wouldnt have to specify the year, but that you get him at his absolute best.

I think it may actually add a little more 'strategery', if you will, if we pick specific years. Like for example, Jordan 91, or Magic 87. In other words pick a version of a player that best suits your needs. Would you prefer Jordan in 88, or Jordan in 96, two different players depending on what you're trying to do. And if you want to get real deep and dramatic, post the stats from that year, and maybe even dig up a picture off Google. Or am I getting too far ahead of myself?

You guys are cracking me up, but I'm going with God Shammgod - you can't top that.

My internet's down at the house, so the 12 hours I spend here at the office daily will come in handy.

i think this is putting to much thought and making things to complicated. considering there isnt an actual fantasy game just a draft where we all kinda discuss (with or without bias). unless someone can come up with a simulation to run some playoffs or something but seems to me thats a lot of work for a "friendly" game.

i say just assume the player in their prime years, i mean jordan in 88 vs 96 IMO would not effect things so much as ad a layer of complication. i mean george miken in 1953 or 1955?

Well that's ok, I'll cite specific versions for my picks where I think it's warranted, but no-one else has to do it. I just like the added layer, because in fact taking Jordan from 1988 or 1996 does give you two different versions.

When are we starting?? With the first pick I take........ Bo Kimble!!

THAT'S A JOKE!
