I think 6, a starting lineup with a sixth man, keeps things from getting too convoluted. Though I'd add, once everyone has picked their 6, randomize the names again for a coach pick. Like the idea of pics as well, maybe throw in career statline or something.

And let's do our best David Stern impression, shall we?

'With the first pick in the 2011 city-data.com draft, Rigas selects Tim Duncan from the University of Wake Forest!'

Well I'm torn, it's either Jordan, wilt or Sam Bowie.

So with the 1st pick in the CD draft Rigas will take Michael Jordan in all his glory and splendor!

Sorry I'm on my phone so not a lot of extra info.

ok, I'm going to go against the grain here. Usually in the # 2 spot people take a dominant center, but I am not going to do that.

With the second pick in the CD NBA All time draft....Team orangeish selects....

Spoiler

Lets face it...Magic has it all. He can play big, he can play small, he can pass, he can score and he never was scared of the big moment. People always talk about centers getting 20/10, but to me the 20/10 pts/ast combo is far more impressive and important. Magic was the best player on his team without dominating the ball, something that is exceedingly rare.

Stats and such:
5x Champion
3x MVP
12x All Star
3x Finals MVP
9x First team
19.5ppg career
11.2apg career
7.2 rpg career

Plus he fits in well with some picks I have planned for later...mwahahaha.

Nah man centers or not there are a handful of players that one cannot argue against as a first pick, and Magic is certainly one of them. Maybe some arguing when all is said and done, but for now that is solid.

If you take Michael Cooper I will leave citydata forever, and probably reformat my hard drive.

With the number three pick in the first City-Data NBA all time draft......719inhere selects Kobe Bryant.
Career ppg 25.3, apg 4.7, rpg 5.3, spg 1.5, 45% fgp, 34% 3point fgp, and 84% for fts
I picked Kobe as the number three in the draft because he is argueably the best player of the past 10 years and is no doubt a great player. Hes a 5 time champion, 1 time nba mvp, 2 time finals mvp, 13 time all star, 2 time scoring champion, 9 times on the nba all first team, 9 time nba all defensive team.
