We'd need at least 3 people to join in from the forum, should be pretty simple we'll figure out a draft order and take turns picking drafting from NBA history in their prime to make a six man squad, the starters plus your 6th man, all right here in this thread. Then we bicker about who's team sucks.

Anyone?

I'll be a reader. But, it spawned an idea... how about an All-Time Draft as in, who was the greatest #1 pick ever? Who was the greatest #2 pick ever? Who was the greatest 43rd selection ever? That could be fun and informative.

I would do it. Would be interesting to see who uses what logic to draft.

For example, taking Kobe before Shaq might be because there are a lot of good centers available but 2-guards are running thin and not that you feel Kobe is "better" etc.

I think it'll also be interesting in that people tend to take people from the era when they watched/played the most basketball.

So if 719inhere is serious we've got three teams now, could use a couple more.

Yes, I'd be in for sure. We should set some ground rules though, like are we talking a player for one year at his peak, or building a team around these guys as rookies for the long haul etc.

Im ok with 719 being in this, but its also important to have committed posters - and he is a newbie. Ive done these in other forums and guys going MIA for a week really kills it. Should be a 6-12 hour time limit between picks or else you get skipped. So I think we should have posters that are around often as the participants. If a newer user wants in, just please assure us you will commit.

just my 2 cents

Sounds good Orange. I vote we try to build team for a single season assuming they'd all be playing against each other, and all players in their prime.

For drafting I'd propose a 24 hour limit, since that isn't too unreasonable and I wouldn't want to have to commit to checking twice a day if a round goes fast.

I'm trying to think how we do a draft order though. Any thoughts?

Yea Im definetly down for it. Im on my computer alot, so I can assure you I won't be MIA lol. We could go by rep points for order in the draft, I know I'd be last but thats okay. I think that would make it more interesting for me anyway.

We can randomize the draft order, there are websites that you can do that on, and then screen shot it into the thread. I dont really think anyone would be rigging the draft order though since we literally have nothing riding on this.

I also think write ups are good with picks as well...for example if this were an all time NFL draft it would look like:

Quote:
Round One, Pick One

Team Orangeish selects:

I am going to go with a QB here, and who better then joe.

<insert stats and reasons etc>

I was a part of another board's draft a few years ago, and it was fun - I would need at least a 12 hour window though.
