Jordan could still play pro (limited minutes) in a half court setting. But, that does not exist. More importantly, he knows he would be a major distraction on the pine...fans, hecklers, media, a neutered coach, etc. Most importantly, is his 30+ ppg career average is very important to him. He knew down to the point what he HAD to score as a Wizard to maintain the #1 spot of all time. He would never jeopardize that particular record.

Yeah... when you think about it, players rarely average 30 points nowadays. Kobe's done it 3 times in 15 seasons, Durant so far has one season of 30, Wade's done it once, Lebron once....and these are your annual leading scorers. Jordan did it...what....8-9 times? Unreal.

Because he LOVES THE game of bball. Can you blame the guy?
If you love something than you will continue to do so. I am glad he is coming back. I love Michael and Dirk Nowitzki. There are alot of amateurs players playing right now. Ahem. Lebron and a few others.
