An all around solid player and a member of RUN TMC, Chris Mullin enters the hall today. Finally getting what he deserved.

His stats were definitely HOF calibur in his prime, but I don't think he deserves to be in. His prime was too short. He's a good guy though and I'm happy for him. I just don't think he should be in.

NBA.com : Chris Mullin Info Page
These are his stats including his 18.2 pts per game average, 86.5% from the foul line and over 50% fg avg for his career. This is why he frequently was compared to Larry Bird. In his prime he was averaging about 25 points per game. He was also a member of the original Dream Team. If not for his last few seasons where he was more of a bench player and only played in 47, and 20 games when he averaged 5 points, he would have been over 20 for his career. When he played 50+ games, he averaged double digits for every season. In college he was also a standout for St. Johns. Yes, he definitely deserves a spot in the Hall and it was well deserved.

I get your point BUT he is considered one of the best pure shooters of all time. He has to be in, he shot 50 % as a SG and when he was his best, well over 53%...thats just sick.

What people don't always realize is that shooters going over 50% for a career is huge. It's much easier for a PF or Center who are constantly dunking the ball and yes that does count as a FG attempt for them.

He played the 3, but he was one of the best pure shooters of all-time. He only averaged over 20 PPG from '88-93'. '88(60 games) and '93(46 games) were injury plagued seasons. His prime was basically 4 seasons.

Apparently you never really watched him play. Do you know these career numbers? 16.1 ppg, 47% fg, 78% FT...these are Scottie Pippen's numbers and he is considered one of the top 50 all time best players. Too bad Mullin beats him in each of these categories and Pippen was on a stocked team. Do you think they ever double teamed Pippen with Jordan on the court? Mullin was doubled frequently. Mullin was also considered one of the best college players ever. Borderline? No chance. The guy was great and if he played for one of the 80's and 90's contenders for a vast majority of his career, he too would be a yes by everyone too. Imagine him playing for the Lakers, Knicks, Celtics, Bulls, or Pistons during that time. Enough said, he just wasn't a huge household name because he played for a smaller market team.
