It would've been interesting though to see Kobe and CP3 together, as Bynum might've turned out different and/or a trade or even free agency acquisition of Howard could've happened. Howard still might've left, but it would've been much harder with a more competitive combo in Kobe/CP3. A lot of their future now depends on how some of their young players and new acquisitions turn out as well as how much that warrants and appeals to some free agents.
Do you think the Lakers could go 72-10 or better this year?

Flashback.....They got swept in the 2nd round and didn't even win 60 games....

its the nostalgia of all those team. The Heat are not apart of that convo. The Heat are a bandwagon team, its the team casuals cheer for, because they dont have a team or their local team is not as good. The media didnt focus on the Lakers or Celtics in the 90s. I remember this vividly. It was all about the Chicago Bulls, until Shaq left Orlando and the Bulls were still winning. The Nba is still a young league, which is why that nba expansion thread is super garbage vomit poop. Its a disgusting thread, the NBA doesn't need more teams. Until we have at least 10 Legendary franchises, that match the the Lakers and Celtics than no more teams need to added. Keep the league exclusive.
