The round of sixteen is usually the round that separates the 'Cuse from the rest of the tourney.

CBS is broadcasting the game, so I can watch something from the comfort of my own home that promises to be as much fun as two hours of root canal surgery.

Last 10 years of the historical powerhouses. not counting this year.

Team : KU duke unc uk ucla iu
1st round: 10 10 7 9 7 5
2nd round: 8 8 7 8 6 1
S16: 7 8 5 5 4 1
E8: 6 2 5 3 3 1
F4: 3 2 3 1 3 1
2: 2 1 2 0 1 1
Champs: 1 1 2 0 0 0

id say KU is looking down on the rest of the competition, with a slight blurry spot being unc with 2 titles.
Give it up dude. They barely survived #10 Purdue, who led most game, in the easiest bracket.

Yeah - I feel bad for givens who missed that tip in put back near the end ..... only senior on the team, has played great recently, 3rd player in school history with 1,000 points & 1,000 rebounds and is all heart ...... that one is going to stick with him

the young guards just couldn't get any shots to fall and then got a little bit of panic towards the end

they were in the top tier of 3 point shooting all year and went 1-13 from three ...... frantz (PG - #4) is an 80% FT shooter who missed more than he made last night ..... then UMass misses 7 shots the entire 2nd half

disapointing, but if Ruffin can show some progress they could be in the mix again next year

was nice to see 3 games in the little gym in front a fairly engaged crowd ..... hopefully one day they'll get a better home figured out for them

Pretty awesome isn't it? I still remember the last time they were there (2005). Mark Gottfried has really turned the program around.

That's exactly how I've been feeling. I'm thinking, tonight it's over. Wisconsin will bury them with three's and the "always season strong", but as usual, they will underachieve in the post season. Season over!

I stated on another post, that I am frustrated with this team. I am not and have never been a big Boheim fan. I think he is over-rated. Syracuse should have gone further many times. They should have at least one more championship for all those "great" Boheim years.. What is it, 35-36 seasons?

Two years ago, it was disheartening to see the Cuse' lose Onuaku in the Big east tournament, and thus any chance at winning another national championship..And now this year, without Melo?!!!..I can't say I haven't been frustrated to the point of retiring them as my team..Just can't take too many other bad endings...

So long Michigan St, great game by Louisville. Number 1 & 2 both gone in West. Not a good night for the Big 10 (so far, Ohio St. still plays).

The Syracuse-Wisconsin game was a much better game than I thought it would be. Both teams played at a high level.

At this point of the tourney, Syracuse runs into defensive-minded teams that can shoot them out of the tourney or teams that have a superstar like Blake Griffin. I hope Jared Sullinger doesn't do a Blake Griffin impression.
